Tucker Lorentzen

Senior Strategy Specialist

As a Senior Strategy Specialist, Tucker (he/him) finds it essential to be steeped in research and test solutions with a fine-toothed comb. He takes complex problems and transforms them into simple, elegant digital solutions. Tucker works closely with clients, product leads, designers, and developers to create meaningful product experiences, always mindful of user needs and defined business strategy. To date, his key engagements include Zappos Zen, Columbia Business School–Executive Education, and Bloomberg.

Before joining AREA 17, Tucker worked as an analyst at a management consulting firm, Foresight Associates. He helped clients in global organizations understand the current trends impacting their business and how to create a vision for growth. Before jumping into the world of analytics, Tucker worked on a Fulbright research project, studying the Quechua language’s prevalence in Ecuadorian Spanish. Tucker attended Saint John’s University, where he double majored in Economics and Hispanic Studies.

As a recent Minnesota transplant, Tucker is loving the balmy New York City winters. He doesn’t like to sit still outside of the office unless it’s Saturday morning, Manchester City is playing, and waffles are on the griddle. His favorite hobbies allow him to be active. Biking, skiing, and tennis take up as much of his time after hours. Once described as “risk-averse,” Tucker has recently picked up rock climbing—although the fear of heights has not yet subsided.
